Green Monster1

I made green juice. I affectionately refer to it as green monster juice. I’ve been drinking it in the morning instead of coffee, since I gave up caffeine. Yes, I know, I’m crazy. It is day three, and just passing the coffee shop at work is enough to make me cry. I won’t mention the headaches. You see, I’m doing a 21 day sugar detox I feel amazing (other than the headaches).

Breakfast has been a thickly sliced tomato topped with caramelized onions, a runny egg and 1/2 an avocado. There’s crust less quiche, burgers without buns, and spaghetti squash in lieu of a big ol’ pot of pasta. I’m surviving just fine thankyouverymuch. However, a glass of wine would be FAN.TAS.TIC. 21 days, won’t be so bad, right?

If you find me in a corner hoovering a dozen donuts try not to judge me… okaythanks.

In all seriousness, this juice will wake you right up, I think it’s the ginger/cinnamon combination. I obsess. I try to make it the night before I go to work, leaving it in a mason jar over night. That way, I can sleepily grab it and sip on it while I get ready for work. You should try it. Until then … think of me as you drink your coffee, and add a little extra creamer for me. Pretty please?
